Description Share Post Dadbot: Rise of the Badbots! Jack Noel (Piccadilly Press) What do you do if it seems that everyone else in the family is in a pair on games night? Dadbot’s lonely. He can’t spend Josh and Daisy’s school days longing for them through the window. What’s more, Dad’s videos are only slightly distracting, while fixing the guttering just ends up in bottom cracks! Dadbot’s in need of a friend, it seems. Thereafter, what about Honey, virtual assistant? Dadbot’s besotted to such a degree that he doesn’t seem to want any family time. In fact, he’s not even aware of the dangers of leaving Josh and Daisy in the skate park with teens, nor that the town’s lost all its power and connectivity. In fact, Dadbot’s eyes are on Honey only. All in all, it’s very suspicious, and even more so with the surprise arrival of Badbots. What is going on? Jack Noel‘s creations are outstanding. In fact, Bookwagon has loved this author-illustrator since first alighting on his Comic Classics‘ collection. Thereafter, we’ve enjoyed works, including My Headteacher is an Evil Genius. However, with Dadbot, we’re in hilarious, high-tech, yet familiarly domestic territory. In fact, so much of what Josh and Daisy and the family go through is known to us, including going to the loo before any journey! Bookwagon is so happy to welcome Dadbot: Rise of the Badbots! This is a laugh-out-loud, clever, satisfying and brilliantly formed graphic novel. While it is the second in a beloved series, it stands alone proudly. Welcome aboard!
